These Bylaws Govern the YAFCA Organization, and its Executive Board

Highlighted Below is an explanation of any Frequently Asked Questions regarding the the YAFCA Organization, and its Executive Board.

1)      Who are the Officers on the Executive Board, and what are their responsibilities?

The Executive Board fills the positions required for corporate officers, and directors. A complete roster of our Executive Board can be seen here.

2)      What size is  the Board of Directors and what is the manner and term of their election?

The Board of Directors is currently composed of three members, and growing. Our goal is a Board consisting of at least ten members. Members are selected based on their qualification for any position. Although there is not set voting process for this, one may be instituted and agreed upon by Board members should it be fitting. There is no term of office for these Board members. 3)     How and when Board are meetings held, and who may call meetings?

Board meetings are held on a quarterly scheduled basis unless otherwise necessary. Occasionally, any member of the board may call additional meetings when appropriate. Meetings are to be held in the most efficient manner possible, and may on occasion take place over a telephone or video conference. These meetings are generally open to the public upon inquiry.

4)     How does the Board of Directors function?

The Board of Directors serves as a table of checks and balances to ensure that YAFCA is accountable to its own bylaws.

5)     How are donations and grant money distributed?

Donations and Grant Money are distributed solely for the purposes of covering YAFCA’s operating expenses. Some of these operating expenses cover employee salaries, and miscellaneous expenses as outlined in our annual report. (Although YAFCA is privately held, the Annual Report is available upon request.)
